CCHS Annual Meeting
The Carver County Historical Society Annual Meeting will be on Sunday, January 26th, 2025 at the museum. As in the past, the meeting will run from 1pm to 3pm. Drinks and light snacks will be provided for all attending.
This year's speakers will be Lou Longhenry and Maddy Wegner! Join us as they talk about the history of the old District 22 Schoolhouse turned San Francisco Township Town hall, its recent stabilization work, and the National Register process for the property.
The annual meeting is open to the public! Members and non members alike are welcome to join us for the meeting and our speakers. Only CCHS members, however, will be able to cast votes for any open board member seats for 2025.
Ukrainian Egg Painting
Come learn the fine art of Ukrainian Egg Painting with your children ages 12 and up. You will receive a kit to keep including dyes, a kitska, and wax.
A pysanka is a Ukrainian Easter egg, decorated with traditional Ukrainian folk designs using a wax-resist method. The word pysanka comes from the verb pysaty, "to write" or "to in scribe", as the designs are not painted on, but written with beeswax.
Pre-registration and payment required by March 21st in order to provide supplies for all attending.
